Ammon News - Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced a founding initiative for an Arab fund to support recovery and reconstruction efforts following crises, conflicts, and wars.

During his speech at the start of the Arab Summit in Baghdad on Saturday, al-Sudani said that the genocide in Gaza has reached a level of ugliness unparalleled in any conflict in history.

"Our vision for ending crises and conflicts in the region stems from the Palestinian people obtaining their full rights," al-Sudani added.

The Prime Minister announced 18 initiatives to stimulate joint Arab action.

He continued, "Iraq will contribute $20 million to the reconstruction of Gaza and $20 million to the reconstruction of Lebanon."
