Ammon News - Commissioner for Petra Archaeological Park and Tourism at Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), Yazan Mahadin, said that the Archaeological Park received more than 74,000 visitors of various nationalities during April, a positive indicator of the beginning of a recovery in tourism, especially since more than 50,000 foreign visitors visited Petra.
Mahadin emphasized that these figures reflect a growing resurgence in visitor numbers, noting that the Archaeological Park is now ready to receive greater numbers of visitors in the coming period.
Work is underway to develop diverse cultural experiences both inside and outside the archaeological site, with the aim of enhancing the visitor experience , where 27 tourist trails have been developed, including the main trail within the archaeological reserve, preparations are also underway to launch 40 new cultural experiences by the end of the year, which will be registered on the official website, he added.
