Tourism activity returns to normal in Petra

Ammon News - Tourism activity in Petra returned to normal on Monday, after the region was hit by unstable weather conditions that included heavy rains and floods, according to Yazan Mahadin, Commissioner of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority's Protected Areas and Tourism Management Department.

Mahadin said the city is currently experiencing normal tourist activity, welcoming visitors from around the world without any disruption, noting that emergency teams and the authority's cadres have been on high alert since the onset of the weather conditions, working immediately to rehabilitate damaged sites to ensure public safety and the continuity of tourism activity.
