Ammon News - Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi Saturday oversaw a free medical day in Ghor Al-Safi, organized by Nobles for Sustainable Development, part of the Al-Wedad medical day campaign launched in February at the new Al-Mallaha Housing Complex in the Jordan Valley.
Issawi, joined by Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Mheidat and Karak Governor Qablan Al-Sharif, was briefed on the functions of the medical day, which offers free medical service in most specialties to local people.
He thanked organizers and volunteers for their humanitarian contributions and promoting social solidarity.
Lara Burgan, founder and director of Nobles for sustainable Development, noted the Royal Court Chief's support of the free medical days initiative targeting underprivileged families across the Kingdom.
The campaign, she said, was organized in cooperation with JFDA, and the Ghor Al-Safi and Prince Hamzah Hospitals, with the participation of volunteer doctors and technicians from other health institutions.
She said more free medical days will be organized across the Kingdom. Petra
