Ammon News - An unusual case in India has captured the Internet’s attention.
A wife has accused her husband of prioritising their pet cat over her. This case, which dates back to December 2024, was heard by the Karnataka High Court, involving a Bengaluru-based couple.
What initially began as a typical marital dispute spiralled into a legal battle, with the wife filing a case against the husband under IPC Section 498A, which deals with matters of cruelty and dowry demands.
The wife’s claims centred around her husband’s bond with the cat, leading to frequent arguments and even instances of the cat scratching her.
As per a Deccan Herald report, the court during the hearing noted that the issue did not concern dowry demands or violence but a domestic dispute between the husband and the wife due to their cat. News 18
