The Israeli occupation army confirmed, according to the Hebrew newspaper Ynet, that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle a bag containing M-16 weapon parts, with the assistance of special forces from the Israeli police and border guards.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli occupation army intercepted a suspect on Tuesday evening near the Jordan Valley and confiscated a bag containing M-16 weapon parts.

The weapon parts were handed over to the Israeli police for further investigation.
