Ammon News - Jordan, represented by the Director General of the National Library Department, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ayasrah, is participating in the meetings of the 64th session of the Copyright and Related Rights at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Committee.
The meetings, which will continue until next Friday in Geneva, will discuss the accreditation of new non-governmental organizations, the protection of broadcasting organizations, exceptions for libraries and archives, educational and research institutions, and persons with disabilities, as well as a proposal for an analysis of copyright in the digital environment.
An information session will also be held on the opportunities and challenges posed by generative artificial intelligence as they relate to copyright.
Dr. Al-Ayasrah explained that the meetings will focus on electronic publishing, television and radio broadcasting, attacks on various broadcasting organizations, other information sources, whether printed or electronic, computer software, and everything related to copyright and related rights.
