Ammon News - The Legislation and Opinion Bureau issued a draft amendment to the 2025 Work Permit Fees Regulation for Non-Jordanians and the government approved the proposed amendments at the end of March.
According to the published draft, the reduction in work permit fees amounts to 30% for all categories.
The published draft stipulates reducing the work permit fees from JD2,150 to JD1,500, in accordance with Clause (1) of Article (2), Paragraph (c) of the original system, reducing the fees mentioned in Clause (2) from JD1,250 to JD875, and reducing the fees mentioned in Clause (3) from JD645 to JD450.
During its session held on March 25, the Cabinet approved the grounds for a draft regulation amending the work permit fees system for non-Jordanians for the year 2025.
The draft regulation, which has been issued, aims to reduce the burden on employers and encourage non-Jordanian workers with specialized skills to comply with the provisions of the Labor Law by issuing work permits, thereby reducing the presence of illegal workers.
