Ammon News - Israeli occupation forces are continuing their wide-scale assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 62nd consecutive day, with ongoing demolition and burning of homes by the Israeli troops, and the conversion of others into military posts.
The wide-scale assault, which has been focused on the Jenin refugee camp, has resulted in the displacement of around 21,000 people, who are now seeking refuge across Jenin city and nearby villages. Since the start of the aggression, 34 Palestinians have been killed, dozens injured, and many more detained.
Estimates indicate that approximately 230 Palestinians from the governorate have been detained since the beginning of the assault. Over the last few hours, the occupation forces have pushed additional military reinforcements into the Jenin refugee camp, accompanied by bulldozers.
Extensive land leveling operations are being carried out to widen roads and create new pathways within the camp, while sounds of gunfire continue to be heard around the camp. Troops are also maintaining a consistent presence within the camp and its surrounding neighborhoods.
According to the Jenin Municipality, 100% of the streets in the refugee camp and several streets in the city of Jenin have been destroyed by Israeli forces. Additionally, 3,200 homes in the refugee camp have been abandoned due to the ongoing offensive. WAFA
