Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will participate on Sunday in the meeting of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Gaza, hosted by Egypt, with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas.
The committee will convene with the participation of the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia, in addition to the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates.
The Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Palestine will hold a meeting with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas on Sunday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, according to an Arab League official.
The official told Al-Mamlaka that the committee will discuss with Kallas ways to restore the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and end the humanitarian catastrophe following the resumption of the Israeli occupation's aggression against the Strip.
The committee will discuss the delivery of humanitarian aid to areas of the Gaza Strip after the announcement of the closure of the crossings and the prevention of the entry of aid on March 2, 2025, with the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, he added.
