In today’s world, only the strong are respected. The weak are often misled by false promises and agreements that fail when real power is tested.
Ukraine once had a large nuclear arsenal. But in 1994, it gave up its weapons under the Budapest Memorandum. In return, powerful countries promised to protect Ukraine’s security. However, when Russia invaded, Ukraine was left alone. It received help only under strict conditions, controlled by political interests.
Ukraine’s situation is not unique. Palestine has suffered the same betrayal for decades. Since 1948, many international agreements have promised to protect Palestinian rights. But these promises were never kept. The United Nations passed resolutions, but they were ignored. Instead of stopping the occupation, agreements were used to pressure Palestinians into giving up more of their land and rights.
When Palestine is attacked, the world mostly watches in silence—or even supports the aggressor. Palestinians are left without weapons, surrounded by blockades, and forced into endless peace talks. Meanwhile, the occupation continues to grow through military force. When Palestinians resist, they are called terrorists, as if justice can only be achieved through surrender.
The Ultimate Lesson: No Security Without Strength
The lesson is clear: rights mean nothing without power, and safety is impossible without strength. If a nation gives up its power for empty promises, no one will protect it when trouble comes. Ukraine suffered because it trusted international agreements. Palestine continues to suffer because the world only respects those who can defend themselves.
This is a warning to all nations: if you give away your strength, you risk betrayal. True security comes only from the ability to protect yourself.
