Assarain Group and EDECS Forge Strategic Partnership to Transform the Oman Construction Industry

Ammon News - Assarain, one of Oman’s premier trading organizations, signed a strategic partnership agreement with EDECS, a leading construction and engineering Group in the MENA region. This collaboration signifies a pivotal development in the country’s construction and engineering landscape, leveraging the combined strengths of two industry leaders to foster innovation, champion sustainable development, and unlock new investment opportunities.

Unveiled under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shammakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology for Transport, the partnership aims to drive progress in these key areas. The agreement was signed by Mr. Salem bin Said Al Wahaibi, Board Chairman of Assarain Group and Engineer Hussein El Dessouky, Chairman and Managing Director of EDECS.

This milestone was celebrated with a grand event on 12 February 2025, at the Mandarin Hotel in Muscat, Oman, bringing together prominent stakeholders, decision-makers, clients, and media representatives. The event marked a significant moment for the Gulf construction and engineering sectors as the two industry leaders combine their expertise to shape the region's future development.
Emphasizing the importance of this partnership agreement, Mr. Salem Al Wahaibi, Board Chairman of Assarain Group, said: "Assarain has always been at the forefront of driving growth in Oman.
