Ammon News - A preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed that the tourism revenues in 2024 amounted to $7,238.9 million, down 2.3% compared to 2023.
This is due to a 3.9% decline in the number of tourists.
Tourism income from Jordanian expatriates increased by 7.7%, and Arabs by 12.0%, while tourism income from European, American and other nationalities decreased by 54.0%, 35.2% and 15.3% respectively, the data showed.
The data also indicated an in spending on tourism abroad during 2024 by 4.1% to reach $1,937.0 million compared to 2023.
