Al-Balqa Applied University ranks 3rd locally, 26th in Arab ranking of universities

Ammon News - Al-Balqa Applied University has achieved notable recognition in the 2024 Arab Universities Ranking, securing third place locally and 26th across the Arab region.

The announcement came during a ceremony held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, organized by the Association of Arab Universities. The event drew participation from leading academic figures and institutions.

This year’s rankings featured 373 universities from 16 Arab countries, a 58% increase compared to the 208 universities in the previous edition. Jordan was prominently represented, with 17 universities making the list, reflecting the country’s strong higher education system.

The rankings assessed institutions across four core pillars: teaching and learning, research, innovation and entrepreneurship, and international collaboration. Data from the global platforms "Scopus" and "SciVal" were utilized to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the results.

University President Dr. Ahmad Fakhri Al-Ajlouni emphasized that this milestone reflects the university’s collective efforts and ongoing dedication to its mission. He noted that advancing in regional rankings enhances the institution’s reputation, attracting students from across the Arab world and beyond.

Dr. Al-Ajlouni added that the ranking underscores the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, driving innovation, and promoting sustainable development, cementing its role as a leader in higher education and community service.
