Ammon News - The Jaber border crossing with Syria is witnessing increased activity, supported by facilities that facilitate the flow of goods and shipping operations. This comes as the decision to allow Jordanian trucks to enter Syrian territory through the crossing is being implemented.
Trucks have started crossing into Syria through the Jaber border, carrying various goods such as food and other supplies, according to Al-Mamlaka.
Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah, on Thursday, will visit the Jaber border crossing and the Jordanian-Syrian joint free zone. During the visit, he will review the progress of operations, assess arrangements, and evaluate the readiness of procedures concerning trade and land freight movement between Jordan and Syria, which resumed last Sunday.
The minister announced that Jordanian trucks would be permitted to enter Syrian territory beginning Wednesday morning, noting that the decision would facilitate the flow of goods and enhance shipping traffic between Jordan and Syria through the Jaber border crossing.
On Tuesday, Syrian authorities announced the cancellation of all fees and stamps previously required at the Jaber-Nassib border crossing.
