PM: Industry, trade and investment issues are essential for Zarqa governorate

17-12-2024 12:48 PM

Ammon News - The Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister De. Jafar Hassan, on Tuesday held its session in Zarqa Governorate, in the presence of representatives and dignitaries of the governorate, mayors, the head of the governorate council, and representatives of various sectors in Zarqa.

Prime Minister stressed that the government will not delay in completing priority projects for Zarqa Governorate for the coming year, whether from the 2025 budget or from the decentralization budget.

Providing job opportunities necessarily requires that we support the private sector and provide the necessary environment for its success, and this is a necessary priority for us, and therefore we have taken a set of steps and decisions in the past period in this direction, and we will continue to do so with broader steps during the coming months, Hassan said.

"The issues of industry, trade and investment are essential to this governorate, and that is why I inaugurated today a natural gas station in the Hashemite area, to supply factories with their gas needs, which contributes to raising their competitiveness, attracting more factories to the area and thus greater job opportunities for the governorate," he added.

Hassan directed the concerned ministers to start a promotional plan for the Zarqa Industrial City project, so that we do not waste time and benefit from each stage of the completion of this important economic and investment project, the first phase of which will be completed by the middle of next year.

The prime minister stressed that the government will start next year the implementation of the JD9 million expansion project of Prince Faisal Hospital, to be fully completed in 2028, and there are also a number of projects in various sectors, including the establishment of health centers and new schools, in addition to the expansion of high-frequency bus services between Zarqa and Amman.
