Ammon News - At least 20 civilians, including children, were killed and others were injured on Sunday night in an Israeli shelling targeting a UNRWA-run school sheltering displaced families in western Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, an Israeli strike bombarded a UNRWA-run school located near Nasser Medical Complex, killing at least 20 people, including children, from the Tafesh family. Several others were injured in the strike.
Israeli forces also blew up multiple residential buildings in the Abu Qamar area of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Since the onset of the relentless Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave by land, sea, and air on October 7, 2023, at least 44,976 civilians have been killed, the majority of whom are women and children, and 106,759 others have been injured.
This toll remains incomplete, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered along the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews due to the relentless Israeli shelling and massive amount of debris.
