Ammon News - Ahmad Alhyari- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced the results of the technical evaluation of the companies bidding for the tender to transport Iraqi crude oil, in which three companies succeeded, as the successful companies are technically qualified to transport Iraqi crude oil to Jordan.
The technical evaluation comes as a first stage in the listed tender, and a financial evaluation will be conducted after the expiration of the five-day objection period, after which the most suitable offer will be selected and contracts will be signed with the concerned company.
Khaled Habenka & Partners, Nayel Zayyabat Al-Hayat Tower for Transportation and Trade, and Ammar Al-Saqqar & Partners are the technically qualified companies, according to an announcement by the Ministry.
Previously, the Ministry announced a tender for the purchase of crude oil transportation services in accordance with the specifications and conditions contained in the tender invitation.
The Ministry called on bidders wishing to apply for the tender to visit the Tenders Department in the Ministry to obtain a copy of the tender invitation documents, bringing with them a license to engage in the business of transporting crude oil and its derivatives by tankers on the road, which must be valid for the duration of the tender, issued by the Land Transport Regulatory Authority and classified within the first category, and a valid professional license and commercial register must be brought to obtain the sealed copy of the tender invitation documents.
The ministry explained that the submitted quotation must be accompanied by bid entry insurance in the form of a bank guarantee or a certified check issued by a local bank, in the amount of JD300,000, and remain valid for 6 months from the date specified as the deadline for submitting bids.
The technical and financial offers are submitted in two separate sealed envelopes, then placed in one envelope on which the bidder's name and bid number are written, and the cost of the bid copy is JD2500 non-refundable, the Ministry indicated.
The Ministry is responsible for transporting crude oil from the loading site in Iraq to the Jordanian Petroleum Refinery site in Zarqa in accordance with the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding for the supply and supply of crude oil from Iraq to Jordan, which was signed in July this year until June 26, 2025.
