Ammon News - The government has written off debts worth about JD3 billion since the beginning of 2024 until the end of last October, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
The data indicated that the government borrowed JD4.702 billion by issuing bonds and treasury bills during the first ten months of 2024, but it has written off debts worth JD3 billion.
As of the end of October 2024, Jordan's total public debt has risen to about JD44.166 billion, including the government's debt to the Social Security Fund (SSF).
The data indicated that the government's debt to the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) rose to JD10.196 billion as of the end of October 2024.
