Ammon News - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Jordan on Thursday at the start of a crisis tour following the overthrow of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, an AFP journalist on his plane said.
The outgoing top US diplomat will meet His Majesty King Abdullah II and the foreign minister in the Red Sea city of Aqaba as he presses for an "inclusive" process to choose Syria's next government, US officials said.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Amman on Wednesday evening on a visit to the Middle East to discuss the situation in Syria.
The US State Department said that Blinken is heading to Jordan and Turkey to hold talks on Syria.
Secretary Blinken will meet with leaders in Jordan and Turkey to discuss developments in Syria, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and across the region.
