Ammon News - In light of the ongoing situation in Syria, the Health Directorate in Al-Mafraq has bolstered its medical operations at the Jaber Border Center. This initiative is aimed at providing immediate healthcare services to Jordanians returning from Syria, including those released from Syrian prisons, and ensuring their swift transfer to Ministry of Health hospitals if needed.
In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Raed Shboul, Secretary- General of Primary Health Care and Epidemics highlighted that the Ministry had significantly increased the number of healthcare staff at the center.
The facility has also been equipped with enhanced medical resources, including personal protective equipment, sample collection kits, and an ambulance for the transfer of patients requiring urgent care.
Shboul assured that Ministry personnel are on constant alert, ready to provide primary medical care and address any healthcare needs at the Jaber Border Center. These steps are part of Jordan's preparedness to respond to developments in Syria and facilitate the safe return of its citizens, particularly those released from detention. Petra
