Jordan's gold reserves rise to JD4.363 billion by end of October

Ammon News - The Central Bank of Jordan's gold holdings rose to JD4.363 billion by the end of October 2024, a new record level achieved by the bank's holdings of the precious metal.

According to the figures, the bank's gold holdings reached 2.210 million ounces by the end of October.

Data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed that foreign reserves rose to a new record high of $20.4 billion at the end of October 2024.

These reserves cover the Kingdom's imports for more than 8 months of goods and services, the data indicated.

From the beginning of the year to the end of October, foreign reserves increased by $2.3 billion, and during October they increased by $200 million compared to the previous month.

By the end of 2023, reserves reached the level of $18.1 billion and continued to rise until the end of October 2024.
