Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, confirmed on Tuesday Jordanian citizen Osama Batayneh, who is being held in Syrian prisons, was transferred to the Jaber border on Tuesday, and was handed over to his father.
Batayneh was arrested 38 years ago, when he was on a visit to Syria at the age of 18, in 1986.
Batayneh's health condition is tragic, and he is amnesic and has not spoken anything, the spokesperson noted.
