Ammon News - Chief Attorney General Yousef Thiabat concluded an official visit to Egypt, where he discussed enhancing judicial cooperation and exchanging expertise with his Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Shawky, and other leaders of the Egyptian Public Prosecution.
The discussions focused on combating various crimes, particularly emerging ones, to bolster the judicial systems of both nations.
The visit, which took place from December 3 to 6 at the invitation of the Egyptian Attorney General, included bilateral meetings with key judicial figures. These included Egyptian Minister of Justice Adnan Fangari, President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Hosny Abdel Latif, and President of the Supreme Constitutional Court Counselor Boulos Fahmy. Other senior judges and judicial officials also participated in the discussions.
Both sides lauded the historic ties between Jordan and Egypt, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening judicial cooperation.
They highlighted the value of joint training programs aimed at transferring expertise and enhancing collaboration between the two nations’ judicial institutions. This includes sharing best practices, knowledge, and technological advancements in judicial processes to address crimes effectively.
The discussions also underscored the strides made by the judicial systems of both countries in adopting modern technology and digital transformation. These advancements have significantly enhanced their ability to combat crimes of all forms, including cybercrimes and other emerging threats.
