Jordan condemns Israel's occupation of Syrian lands

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi expressed Jordan's position in condemning the Israeli occupation's entry into Syrian territory and its control over the buffer zone.

Safadi confirmed Jordan's support for a political process in Syria chosen by the Syrian people and that the decision should be Syrian and we continue to follow the situation there, noting that the solution to the issue of refugees is their return to their homeland.

His Majesty the King's instructions are to continue providing support and assistance to Syria and rebuilding its institutions, Safadi added.

Syria's stability and security is a strategic interest for Jordan and the entire Arab region, he noted.

The Minister also condemned Israel's entry into any part of Syrian territory, and considered it a violation of international law.
