Ammon News - The Syrian armed opposition announced at dawn on Sunday the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime, after storming Damascus.
Reuters quoted military officials as saying that President al-Assad left Damascus to an unknown destination.
The armed Syrian opposition said that "the free Syrian people have brought down Bashar al-Assad," after the opposition entered the capital and took control of the headquarters of the official radio and television, and confirmed that the officers and members of the regime withdrew from the headquarters and the General Staff in Damascus.
A Syrian military source said that the army command informed officers of the fall of the regime, according to Reuters.
