Ammon News - The Ministry of Digital Economy confirmed that the issuance of e-passports is scheduled to begin at the beginning of next year, as the paper passport will contain an internal encrypted electronic chip that includes the personal and vital data of the passport holder in line with the highest technical and security specifications.
In a press statement, the ministry added that the e-passport can be used through electronic gates at airports, which facilitates travel procedures and saves time and effort for travelers.
