Ammon News - Jordan's consumption of oil derivatives fell by 2% in the first 10 months of this year, totaling 3.02 billion liters, down from 3.079 billion liters during the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Ministry of Energy reported a 4% decline in demand for gasoline Octane-90 during the first ten months of this year, with sales reaching 1.34 billion liters, down from 1.396 billion liters in the same period last year.
The demand for 95-octane gasoline rose by 3%, reaching 126.5 million liters, up from 123 million liters during the same period in 2023, the reports showed.
Demand for diesel increased slightly by 0.5%, totaling just over 1.479 billion liters, compared to 1.472 billion liters in the first ten months of 2023.
Kerosene saw the most significant decline in sales volume from the start of 2024 through the end of October, dropping by 15% to approximately 75 million liters, compared to 88.4 million liters during the same period in 2023.
On a monthly basis, sales of oil derivatives grew by 30% in October, reaching 368.8 million liters, compared to 283.8 million liters in September.
