Ammon News - The University of Jordan has made impressive strides in the 2024 Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings, securing the top spot in Jordan and advancing seven positions to rank ninth in the Arab region.

In a statement released Thursday, University President Nathir Obeidat expressed his pride in this achievement, noting that it reflects the University’s commitment to global excellence. He emphasized that this progress is a direct result of the University’s strategic focus on quality, innovation, and community engagement in both education and research.

Obeidat explained that the University’s rapid rise in the rankings aligns with its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of academic programs, improve students' communication and soft skills, and ensure their readiness for the job market. He also highlighted the University's emphasis on producing high-impact research and creating an environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

The Times Higher Education rankings, which evaluated over 300 universities this year, assess institutions based on several key criteria, including the quality of education, research output and impact, international collaboration, and industry partnerships. These rankings are widely regarded as a benchmark for academic excellence in the Arab world.

Obeidat reaffirmed the University’s dedication to ongoing improvement, particularly in its educational and research activities, and to further enhancing the capabilities of its students. He expressed confidence that these efforts will continue to elevate the University’s standing in both regional and global rankings.

With its distinguished faculty, rich history, and clear strategic vision, the University of Jordan remains focused on its goal of becoming one of the world’s top universities. Petra
