Ammon News - For the first time, Jordan has secured a top-tier "Role-model" ranking on the Global Cybersecurity Index, advancing 44 positions and increasing its score from 71% in 2020 to an impressive 98.6% in 2023.
This notable progress, outlined in the third-quarter report for the Economic Modernization Vision 2023-2025, underscores Jordan’s emergence as a regional leader in cybersecurity, strengthening investor confidence and establishing Jordan as a preferred destination for cyber and tech-related investment.
The government performance report also highlighted other key achievements, including advancements in digital payments, financial inclusion, and health. Recent actions, such as the launch of a national financial inclusion strategy and updates to maternal and child healthcare guidelines, aim to elevate Jordan’s standing in indices like digital payments and public health.
Jordan has also risen in the UN E-Government Development Index, moving from 100th to 89th position, and improved on the Global Gender Gap Index, rising from 126th to 123rd place. Additionally, the new Flexible Work Regulation, introduced in August 2024, aims to improve work conditions and support a modernized labor market.
Despite these advancements, Jordan saw a slight dip in the Global Innovation Index, moving from 71st to 73rd place out of 133 countries.
