Ammon News - Officers from the Traffic Department verified that the Public Security Directorate is carrying on with its winter traffic initiative to guarantee that vehicles are suitable for driving safely in winter, with collaboration from the Royal Environmental Protection Administration and maintenance teams.
In his remarks to Public Security Radio on Sunday, he emphasized that a vehicle must undergo repairs and be inspected by a Traffic Department center before the impoundment sign can be removed. If the notice period is longer than one week, it will be considered a violation to ensure public safety and meet the main objective of the winter campaign for vehicle inspections.
He emphasized the importance of being cautious and careful when driving, following the lanes, maintaining a safe distance, obeying speed limits, and ensuring that public transport buses and student buses adhere to seat capacity.
The Traffic Department representative mentioned that early and scheduled traffic groups have been deployed at intersections and main roads since early morning to address any obstructions and ensure smooth traffic flow. They will also monitor dangerous violations, especially on busy streets where there is heavy traffic. Field hawks are separating lanes to help maintain traffic flow and save time and effort for citizens.
The representative from External Patrols observed that all external roads are experiencing heavy and busy traffic, with no noteworthy closures or obstacles on any external roads.
The Traffic and External Patrols officials urged drivers to follow traffic regulations and priorities, avoid risky infractions, and refrain from being distracted by things like cell phones to ensure traffic flow and protect their own safety as well as that of others on the road, and to not hesitate to contact the unified emergency number 911 if needed.
