Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Strikes Off US West Coast

Ammon News - The US Geological Survey reported a 6.0-magnitude earthquake hitting off the western United States (Oregon) coast on Wednesday night, with no tsunami warning given.
The Washington Times reported that the 6.0-magnitude earthquake originated on a fault line beneath the Pacific Ocean, 279 kilometers (170 miles) away from Bandon, Oregon.
At first, seismologists approximated the earthquake's depth as 10 kilometers (equivalent to six miles), utilizing standard settings for shallow earthquakes which are adjusted with additional information.
