Ammon News - French President Emmanuel Macron gave a groundbreaking speech on Tuesday in front of the Moroccan parliament in both houses.

During his speech to the Moroccan parliament, Macron stated that according to France, Moroccan sovereignty includes the Sahara's present and future.

Macron emphasized in his remarks that resolving the issue must be done within the framework of autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty.

Macron further stated that France's backing of the autonomy plan remains unwavering, as it is currently the sole foundation for achieving a fair and lasting political resolution in line with UN Security Council resolutions.

Macron emphasized that this stance will initiate a fresh start in the relationship between the two nations, affirming that "French entities and businesses will strive to aid in the progress of the southern regions via durable and collaborative investments and projects to aid the local residents."
