Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates on Monday condemned Israel’s targeting of a school sheltering displaced persons in the Nuseirat camp in Gaza, which was scheduled to be used as a polio vaccination site.

The Ministry also condemned Israel's targeting of tents housing displaced persons in the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens.

The Ministry described the incident as "a heinous crime added to the war crimes committed by Israel against the brotherly Palestinian people," calling it a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles. The Ministry further condemned Israel’s systematic targeting of civilians and facilities sheltering displaced persons.

Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the official spokesman for the Ministry, underscored "the Kingdom's absolute rejection and denunciation of these crimes," labeling them as a clear breach of international law, international humanitarian law, and the 1949 Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilians in Time of War. He also said that Israel is "disregarding international calls for an end to the war and the worsening humanitarian catastrophe."

Qudah stressed the urgent need to protect civilians, essential services, humanitarian facilities, and shelters in line with international law. He called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take responsibility by adopting a firm stance to stop the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza, ensure protection for the Palestinian people, and hold those responsible accountable for ongoing violations of international law.
