Safadi conveys message from King to El-Sisi

Ammon News - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Wednesday at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, who convoyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to El-Sisi and a message that affirmed the depth of the solid fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, and addressed ways of joint Jordanian-Egyptian coordination and consultation, especially in light of the efforts made by the two countries to stop the escalation witnessed in the region as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon.

El-Sisi conveyed his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II, and stressed Egypt's pride in the advanced level of relations with Jordan in all fields.

During the meeting, the depth of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries was emphasized, as well as the common keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves the Jordanian-Egyptian interests and the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples towards further development and progress.

They also discussed the joint Jordanian-Egyptian efforts to end the dangerous escalation that threatens security and peace in the region and launch effective international efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, stop the dangerous Israeli escalation measures in the West Bank, and ensure the sending of sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon.

The meeting also stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, is the only way to achieve security, stability and peace in the region.
