Ammon News - Merger talks between Jordan Kuwait Bank and Bank al Etihad ended on Thursday.

Further to the decision made by the Board of Directors of Jordan Kuwait Bank, which was disclosed on 22/2/2024 regarding the proposed merger between Jordan Kuwait Bank and Bank al Etihad, including undertaking a technical, financial and legal study to assess the feasibility of the merger. Teams from the two banks were formed, including the appointment of external advisers and specialists.

The board of directors of Jordan Kuwait Bank has unanimously decided in its meeting No. 8/2024 on 25/9/2024 to amicably terminate merger discussions between the two banks and focus instead on their individual growth strategies and advancement of their independent future plans.
