Ammon News - The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Sufyan Al-Qudah, confirmed that the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up on the conditions of Jordanians in Lebanon via hotlines and renewing its call for them to leave Lebanese territory immediately to preserve their safety and ensure their arrival to the homeland.
Al-Qudah told Amen FM on Tuesday that 1,199 Jordanian citizens in Lebanon and 2,541 companions of other nationalities have registered on the ministry's platform since the beginning of the crisis, as the statistics that reached the ministry indicate that there are 2,600 citizens in Lebanon, while the actual number is 4,000 citizens, but the registration conditions in Lebanon are difficult.
He pointed out that the ministry has plans ready to be implemented in the event of a "zero state", i.e. the outbreak of a large-scale war. These are evacuation operations that have been developed in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces and the National Center for Security and Crises Management in the event of a state of chaos when wars occur.
He also renewed his call to Jordanian citizens residing and present in Lebanon to immediately register on the website of the Jordanian Embassy in Beirut through the link: https://mfa.gov.jo/ar/embassy/Beirut/form
