Ammon News - An Israeli settler was killed and five others were injured in two simultaneous operations in two locations near the Gush Etzion and Karmei Tzur settlements, north of the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, at midnight on Friday-Saturday.
The occupation army said that the two operations were separate but possibly linked attacks, which saw two suspected car bombs detonate around the same time, according to the Times of Israel.
In the first incident, a car exploded at a gas station near the Gush Etzion junction. the occupation troops dispatched to the scene shot dead a man who had arrived in the vehicle and who attempted to attack them, the military said.
In the second incident, a Palestinian rammed a car through the entrance to the nearby settlement of Karmei Tzur. the occupation troops opened fire at the attacker.
One of the members of the local security team, in his own car, crashed into the attacker and killed him. The guard himself was lightly hurt.
The perpetrators of the operations were martyred.
