Total public debt stands at JD42.525 billion until end of last June

Ammon News - Data from the Ministry of Finance reveled that the ratio of public debt to GDP decreased by 0.5% until the end of last June, including the debt held by the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF).

The total public debt rose to JD42.525 billion, recording 114.7% by the end of June, declining from the level recorded by the end of May, the data showed, according to Al-Mamlaka.

The data also indicated that the government's debt to the SSIF until the end of June reached JD9.536 billion, while the size of government borrowing during the first half reached JD1.344 billion.
