Expatriate remittances up by 3.7% in five months

Ammon News - Remittances from expatriate workers witnessed an improvement in their performance during the month of May 2024 by 2.8% compared to the corresponding month of 2023 to reach $304.9 million, according to a preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).

In light of this, remittances from workers abroad increased by 3.7% during the first five months of 2024 to reach $1,451.4 million, compared to $1,399.7 million during the corresponding period of 2023.
