Ammon News - Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Political and Security Affairs in the European Union, Josep Borrell, confirmed that the European Union will participate in monitoring the parliamentary elections that will be held in Jordan next September.
During a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Borrell said that the EU supports Jordan in its various programs to combat terrorism.
Bilateral cooperation with Jordan is being discussed, and the desire to improve these relations in the areas of security, political, as well as economic and trade, Borrell added.
Borrell also appreciated Jordan's efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
He confirmed that the European Union adopted a call to condemn the attack on Jordanian aid convoys to the Gaza Strip.
