New UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy discussed with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Joseph Borrell, the security challenges in Europe.

Lammy wrote on his official X account: "Good to speak with @JosepBorrellF on European security challenges, working together in support of Ukraine, and towards an immediate ceasefire in Gaza."

"As the world faces huge challenges, I look forward to strengthening UK-EU cooperation," he added.
