ACC's exports record JD674mln in 1st 6 months

Ammon News - The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in the first half of this year for exporting goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries amounted to about JD674 million, compared to JD678 million for the same period last year.

According to the ACC's statistical data obtained by "Petra," a total of 17,375 certificates of origin were issued by ACC during the January-June period 2024, compared to 16,215 certificates for the same period last year.

The ACC's certificates issued during the first half of this year targeted multiple countries, primarily Saudi Arabia with 4,532 certificates, the United Arab Emirates with 1963, Iraq with 1,154, Egypt with 494, and Switzerland with 15 certificates.

During the first half of 2024, exports to Iraq stood at JD313 million, Switzerland and Egypt at about JD50 million for each country, Saudi Arabia at JD49 million and the UAE at JD48 million.

Meanwhile, exports of foreign products (re-exports) amounted to JD330 million, industrial products stood at about JD132 million, agricultural items at approximately JD81 million, Arab products amounted to JD46 million and the rest went for other commodities, the ACC's statistical data showed.
