He held several positions, including assistant minister of defence in 2015, chief of military police, and later deputy chief of military police. Lieutenant-General Sakr has received numerous awards and medals, including the Military Duty Decoration (First Class) and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. He holds a Master's degree in military science from Nasser Military Academy and a Bachelor's degree in military science from the Military Academy.
