The ministry said in its quarterly report that inbound tourism offices expect the rate of cancellation of reservations for incoming tourists from February to June 2024 to reach about 93%. The latest data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) indicate that tourism income during the first five months amounted to JD1.9 billion ($2.6 billion), a decrease of 6.5%, compared to the same period in 2023. This decrease is due to a 10% decline in tourist numbers, according to the data.
