Ammon News - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas spoke of his fear that Israel would turn to the West Bank to deport its people towards Jordan, stressing that "under no circumstances will we accept the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland."

During his speech at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, Abbas said: "Jordan and Egypt categorically rejected the displacement of Palestinians to them."

"If Israel invades Rafah, it will cause the greatest catastrophe in the history of the Palestinian people," Abbas added, appealing to the United States of America to prevent Israel from invading Rafah.

He called on the international community to recognize Palestine as a full member state of the United Nations, stressing, "We are working on a political solution that brings together Gaza and the West Bank with an independent Palestinian state."
