Ammon News - The Sultanate of Oman announced on Tuesday, a temporary suspension of the registration and enrollment of Omani students in Jordanian private higher education institutions for the bachelor’s level only, starting from the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024.

The Recognition of Higher Education Institutions Committee in Oman said that the decision came due to the overcrowding of Omani students in universities based on the regulations for recognizing non-Omani higher education institutions and the equivalence of academic qualifications they grant, and until a specialized delegation from the Ministry visits Jordanian higher education institutions and submits a detailed report on the visit to the committee.
