Jordan ranks 3rd in Arab world, 96th globally as best country for women

Ammon News - Jordan ranked 3rd in the Arab world and 96th globally as the best country for women, according to the annual rankings of the American magazine "CEOWORLD".

In its annual report, which seen by Ammon News, CEOWORLD said that the survey conducted on nearly 280,000 women from all over the world. The study evaluated 156 countries on nine different attributes, including gender equality, the percentage of legislative seats held by women, the sense of security among females aged 15 years and above while walking alone at night, income equality, concern for human rights, women’s empowerment, the average education level of women, the percentage of women aged 25 and above who are engaged in paid work, and the level of women’s inclusion in society.

In the Arab world, Saudi Arabia ranked first as the best country suitable for women, followed by Oman, then Jordan, UAE, Algeria, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Yemen, and then Syria, which ranked last in the Arab world.

Globally, the Netherlands was ranked as the best country in the world for women, followed by Norway and Sweden in 2nd and 3rd place respectively, and Denmark ranked 4th.

According to the rankings for 2024, Austria took 12th place ahead of Italy in 13th, while Luxembourg ranked 11th and Spain 14th. Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom held the 15th, 16th, and 17th positions respectively.

As for the United States of America, it ranked 20th globally, preceded by Singapore, followed by Ireland in 21st place.
