2.7 million remittances executed in Jordan, worth JD2.1 in Q1 2024

Ammon News - The number of remittances executed in Jordan during the first quarter of 2024 reached 2.7 million, with a value of JD2.1 billion, according to statistics compiled by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC) and monitored by Al-Mamlaka.

The total number of remittances carried out in the Jordanian dinar reached 902 transactions during March, compared to 893 thousand transactions in February, with an increase of 1%.

The value of these remittances amounted to JD737 million in March, compared to JD702 million last February, with an increase of 4.9%.

While the total number of remittances carried out in foreign currencies during March amounted to 5,227 transactions in US dollar worth $33.6 million, in addition to 279 transaction in euros worth €2.7 million, and 29 transaction in British pounds worth £230 thousand.
