Drug smuggling attempt thwarted at Jaber border crossing

Ammon News - Jordan Customs Department and the Public Security Directorate (PSD) thwarted on Monday the smuggling of 237,000 narcotic pills (43) kg at the Jaber border crossing.

The media spokesperson for the Jordan Customs Department said that customs, anti-narcotics and security personnel working at the Jaber border customs center thwarted the smuggling of (237) thousand pills of the narcotic Captagon after suspecting two cargo vehicles.

In turn, the Director General of Jordan Customs, said that the customs in cooperation and coordination with the security services and agencies working in the border posts, are working with all their capabilities to prevent the entry of drugs by strengthening their control at the border crossings, expressing his appreciation and pride in the efforts of the customs cadres and their ability to confronting innovative criminal methods of drug smuggling efficiently and competently.
